Anticlastic Raising Workshop

Details

"Anticlastic* - having opposite curvatures at a given point e.g. Curved convexly on the longitude and concave along the latitude plane."*

In our anticlastic raising workshop you will learn how to raise an anticlastic bangle using a sinusoidal stake. This course will also cover creating anticlastic shapes using doming punches; a technique used to make spinning rings.

When starting out with this technique you will mainly work with round forms. However, once you have mastered these raising techniques you will be able to create more elegant organic shapes to suit your personal style.

To add the finishing touch to your piece you'll learn how to use a polishing motor to achieve a high shine.
