Kagyu Samye Dzong Edinburgh, 25 Bernard St, Edinburgh, EH6 6SH
5 spaces available

This booking is for an individual Gyrokinesis class on Saturday 14 October 2017 at Kagyu Samye Dzong, 25 Bernard Street Leith at 11.10am-12.10pm. Suitable for someone looking to try Gyrokinesis before committing to a block booking.

Gyrokinesis is an exercise class that gently works the entire body using flowing movement sequences and corresponding breath. Gyrokinesis opens energy pathways, stimulates the nervous system and increases range of motion through rhythmic spiralling circular movements. Each movement flows into the next, allowing the joints to move through a natural range of motion without jarring or compression. These carefully crafted sequences create balance, efficiency, strength and flexibility.

It is an original, and unique movement method which has benefits and qualities similar to those found in Yoga, Tai Chi, gymnastics and dance. Gyrokinesis is a popular choice to aid recovery from pain and injury – number 1 tennis player Andy Murray took up Gyrokinesis to help him recover from his back operation. He continues to practice Gyrokinesis to keep injury at bay and improve his overall fitness.

Please get in touch if you would like further details or to discuss any queries you have regarding your suitability to join the class.
