Stress Relief for Sensitives

Do you yearn for less stress and more balance and inner peace?

Do you seek inner peace and meaning in this frantic world? Are you sensitive to your surroundings and other people and easily feel overwhelmed by too much stimulation and information? Maybe you’re also intuitive and empathic and crave quiet-time and spiritual connection.

Then, fellow Highly Sensitive Person, let me welcome you home.

I know that life can feel challenging for high sensitives. We live in a world of constant stimulation and noise; of open plan workspaces, team work and of aggression and pushiness. Outgoing people seem to “get on” in life better – being rewarded for their gregariousness by promotions and popularity.

Being sensitive can feel like a curse – we feel EVERYTHING so intensely it can be overwhelming! We can feel like a square peg in a round hole of our culture. “Sensitive” is used as an insult. We often feel misunderstood and over-looked.

Learning about high sensitivity helps us to understand why we feel as we do. Knowing the self-care you need as a sensitive person means you can learn how to calm your nervous system’s stress response.

With knowledge comes the ability to embrace the gifts of sensitivity – and there are many. Highly Sensitive People tend to understand things deeply; they’re conscientious; they’re creative and have a rich, complex inner life; they’re compassionate; they’re finely tuned into life around them and delicately appreciate the subtleties of nature and music and art.

But first you need to learn how to deal with stress and overwhelm, which all too often bedevil us high sensitives.

Which is where Stress Relief for Sensitives comes in…

I’m Stella Tomlinson – an experienced Dru Yoga & Meditation Teacher, Energy Emotional Freedom Technique Master Practitioner and Highly Sensitive Person and I would love to guide you through understanding your sensitivity and to teach you practical tips and techniques to relieve stress.

In this 3-hour workshop you will learn how to:

  • Understand how stress affects highly sensitive people.
  • Deal with overwhelm aka First Aid for High Sensitives: practical techniques you can use in the moment (or if you can, take yourself away for a few moments) to do something to bring some balance to your frazzled nervous system and untangle your emotions and thoughts.
  • Soothe your body: ways to soothe your nervous system to bring yourself back into balance through simple movement and transformational breathing.
  • Calm your mind: ways to quieten the thoughts and find peace with your mind through simple mindfulness and meditation techniques.
  • Connect to your heart and nourish you soul: ways to connect to self-compassion and kindness and the guidance of your wise and loving heart and soul.

You will leave feeling informed, invigorated and empowered.

If you’re ready to become the happiest and healthiest version of you, grab your Early Bird spot now before the price goes up at the March.  (Price includes a guide to the practices taught in the workshop.)

I can’t wait to see your peaceful smile at the end of this 3-hour journey together.

About your teacher

Stella Tomlinson is a Dru Yoga & Meditation Teacher, Writer and Energy Emotional Freedom Technique Master Practitioner. She’s also a Highly Sensitive Person. She’s been practising yoga since 2000 and teaching since 2012. She’s also the author of ‘Peace Lies Within: 108 ways to tame your mind and connect to inner peace’ and is currently writing her second book ‘Stress Relief for Sensitives’.

Stella uses her first-hand experience of how yoga can relieve stress and anxiety to enable those of us who often feel anxious and overwhelmed how to release emotional tension and harness the power of the breath and the mind to connect to inner strength, stillness and joy and find peace amidst the demands of everyday life.

Dru Yoga & Meditation is a gentle yet powerfully transformational form of yoga, which focuses on emotional energy release, and works on body, mind and soul leaving you feeling positive and empowered.

What is high sensitivity?

Do you find the sensory stimulation of modern life over-whelming? All that noise and busy-ness and demands on your time and attention, loud noises, bright lights – it can all feel so wearing… You’re someone who tends to be very aware of the subtleties in your environment; you pick up on other people’s moods; you need quiet-time on very busy days.

But perhaps you also tend to be more empathetic, more intuitive, more aware, more soulful, a deeper thinker than many people you know. You have a rich inner life.

If this sounds like you, chances are you’re a high sensitive (or “highly sensitive person”): part of 15-20% of the population whose nervous system is more sensitive to their surroundings and external stimuli.

Sensitives like you and me need time and space away from this busy over-stimulating world.

We need time and space to soothe and balance our nervous systems; to rest and reflect; and to dream into connection with the deep innermost wisdom of our heart and soul. We need opportunities to get away from everyday life and to honour our own nature.
