Details

Yoga during pregnancy gives substantial benefits. Traditional Yoga postures, breathing techniques and deep relaxation are adapted to provide a strengthening, fun and safe method of exercise that helps prepare for birth. Classes are suitable throughout pregnancy.

Postures strengthen and tone the muscles whilst encouraging flexibility. The constant changes occurring during pregnancy requires the body to continually adapt and yoga supports this process perfectly. Breathing techniques are a valuable tool during the pregnancy and throughout the different stages of labour. Deep relaxation is known to be as beneficial as several hours sleep, so when sleep can be disrupted by pregnancy it is a vital practice to maintain a healthy level of rest and rejuvenation.
