I am running One Day Creative Writing Workshops for children (age 8-12 yrs) and teenagers (12-15 yrs) during the Easter Holidays, in Malahide Parish Centre.

We will create stories about characters who have a mystery or problem to solve. It may be a problem outside of the character such as a crime or it may be an internal difficulty they are struggling with, such as anxiety.

We will cover character creation, plot and opening the story to hook the reader. We will also explore how writing creatively can help us to express ourselves and deal with our own problems. I particularly welcome children or teenagers who are experiencing anxiety as this workshop will be of benefit to them.

Each writer will return home inspired and motivated to keep writing!

Age range: Between ages 8 years and 12 years

Students will need a notebook, pen or pencil and their own hand sanitiser.
