Garlic, bulb onions, spring onions, perennial walking onions, shallots, leeks, Asian bunching onions, chives…the allium family gives us essential flavors and nutrients and a wide variety of options to grow easily at home. Success with some alliums depends on understanding their life cycle and a few special needs. This workshop will help you understand different alliums’ critical relationship with day length and temperature, when and how to plant, and how you can have your own alliums year-round.
