This workshop is an introductory course to the fundamentals of how to lay out and cut simple timber frame joinery. In this course, students will be introduced to a variety of measuring and cutting tools, have the opportunity to lay out basic timber frame joinery, and then to gain hands-on experience using hand and power tools cutting that joinery in the construction of a timber-framed sawhorse that will be used in future workshops at the Michigan Folk School.
