The White Water Leader is open to anyone with experience of paddling in moderate white water. The award will enable you to lead fun, safe and enjoyable white water trips for groups of paddlers.
You will be supported to develop your personal and leadership skills during two days of training, with like-minded white water paddlers. Alternatively, if you have sufficient experience you could go straight to assessment.
Furthermore, this award is used by clubs, outdoor centres and organisations to support their white water journeys on grade 2(3) rivers.
There are no formal prerequisites to attend this course although we do recommend that you have experience of paddling grade 2(3) white water.
The exact location for this course is subject to water levels but usually takes place in North Wales or the Lake District.
