During this workshop you will learn the core concepts of Flow Yoga, also known as Vinyasa yoga.

Format

The session will be comprised of the following components...

LEARN
Students will learn the following through active participation

  • Yoga breathwork (Pranayama)
  • How to perform beginner yoga postures (Asanas)
  • Proper alignment and movement techniques
  • How to modify for injuries, inflexibility or other conditions that limit movement
  • How and why to use yoga blocks and straps

PRACTICE
Students will participate in a Flow Yoga class using the techniques we have learned

About Vinyasa Flow Yoga

Vinyasa Yoga is an upbeat and creative form of yoga where breath and yoga postures flow together to create a dynamic yoga class. It is a moving meditation that also builds strength and flexibility.

Who should attend?

These beginner yoga workshops are suitable for those completely new to yoga, or those students looking to deepen their practice. Learn to connect flowing postures together with breath and proper alignment techniques for each pose, so you'll feel confident when you go to group yoga classes.

Absolute beginners are welcome and no experience is necessary. However, Vinyasa Yoga is a vigorous style of yoga so participants should be able to walk a mile briskly and go up and down stairs without difficulty.

Students are welcome and encouraged to attend our Beginner/Intermediate classes concurrently with this workshop.

Nivå: novice, beginner

Instruksjoner

Students should arrive 10 minutes early and bring their own yoga mat, 2 yoga blocks and a yoga strap. If you do not own these things, you may borrow them. However, on-site equipment is limited, so please email info@twistandblissyoga.com to request to borrow equipment which will allow your teacher to bring in more equipment, if necessary.

We also recommend you bring water, a snack, a notebook and a pen/pencil to take notes.
