Payments may be given online or by mail. The class fee is $160 and includes Eat, Sleep, Poop.

Prepayment is required to save your seat. The first 8 families to pay will have priority. If there are more families interested we will offer an alternate or private class.


This is an evidence based, common sense childbirth class to educate and empower pregnant mamas and their partners for joys and challenges of natural childbirth.

Designed by an experienced birth doula, this class is intimate, fun and full of accurate information and practical wisdom. Gather with other pregnant couples to learn, support and be in awe of the everyday miracle that birth truly is!

In this four class series (4 consecutive weeks on Tuesday evening):
*Understand basic anatomy - how you are perfectly designed to grow, birth and nourish your baby

  • Bring attention to healthy lifestyles - food, movement, relaxation
  • Find familiarity with the stages of labor and needs of a birthing woman
  • Practice skills for comfort and support in labor - breath, positions, sound, touch, water
  • Gain awareness about common procedures and interventions
  • Discuss your birth priorities, assemble your birth team
  • Anticipate your needs in the immediate postpartum
  • Marvel at the amazing reflexes, abilities and cues of your new baby
  • Smile, laugh and find companionship among other birthing families
  • Ask questions, bring your curiosity, enthusiasm and sense of humor
  • Now includes a fifth class: Newborn Care & Breastfeeding taught by Katie DaMota, IBCLC

Created and taught by Chelsea Bryan. Chelsea is a childbirth teacher, birth doula, student midwife and mother of three who has attended over 250 births in and out of hospitals. http://www.grassvalleydoula.com/

Alternate instructor, Cara Sether, a local midwifery apprentice and mother. Cara brings over 5 years of experience plus a grounded sense of birth with her to class.

Katie DaMota, International Board Certified Lactation Consultant (IBCLC) and seasoned postpartum doula teaches the Eat, Sleep, Poop: Newborn Care and Breastfeeding class.
