Grief Tending Q&A for professionals - Online

This is an online event.

Joining instructions will be provided after booking.

Details

You are warmly invited to join us for this intro session which has been created for anyone who works with people affected by grief and loss.

It is designed to be an introduction to the lineage and approach we work with in the longer workshops.

  • A short presentation on grief tending in community.
  • Time for questions and (where we can!) answers.
  • Group discussion and sharing about the different faces of grief and the ways in which the grief tending approach is similar to - and different from - therapy.

Who we are

Norwich Grief Tending is part of a growing worldwide movement led primarily by lay people, seeking partnership with professional services and offering a complement to other approaches. Drawing on both ancient wisdom and modern psychology, this movement is about resourcing all of us to create more healthy cultures and to form communities of care and healing.

Who is it for?

This gathering is for anyone with a professional interest in the grief tending in community approach.

Perhaps you work in the mental health or social care field, hold space for people one-to-one as a counsellor, therapist or mind body spirit practitioner.

You may be part of a community group or organisation who is working with people who are dealing with loss. This could be grief in terms of bereavement, loss or change of health, loss of work, planetary grief, ancestral grief, trauma etc.

Or you may be working in end of life settings, palliative care, as a celebrant or at a funeral home and are curious about other ways to support people with the pain of bereavement.

This session will help you to learn more about how the grief tending in community approach could benefit the people you support. It's also an opportunity to enhance your own grief literacy so that you feel more confident and supported when meeting other people's grief in your work.

All people with a professional interest in grief and loss are welcome.
