You are warmly invited to join us for this Grief Tending in Community taster session.
This session could be a good place to start if you're new to these practices and thinking of joining us for a longer workshop. Or you may have attended a Grief Tending event before and wish to experience the support of the practice at this time.
You can bring all types and expressions of grief, including bereavement, health issues, life changes; long-term grief, passed down through families and culture; pain for the natural world and for future generations; and grief that is stuck or frozen. All of this and more is welcome.
There are many facets to this question.
As we step into the waters of grief, we often discover that it also helps awaken our joy and our sense of aliveness.
Sharing our vulnerability and witnessing each other in our grief can be a strong medicine that helps bring us home to what it is to be fully human, in solidarity with each other and with the natural world.
In these times, as we seek new and better ways of supporting wellness and growing community and connection, being present with this most human of experiences may well be one of keys to bringing about deep personal and cultural transformation.

We will travel through the spiral of the Grief Tending in Community approach, and explore the 'gates of grief' map offered by Francis Weller, a key source for this work.
Connecting with what is resourcing and holding us in life at this time, we will create a strong container together as we begin to touch in on our grief.
We will tend what arises through a combination of work in pairs and in circle sharing and ceremony, and we will have a time of soothing and integration to finish.
We're offering this event on a gift basis where you choose the amount of your financial gift. In addition to your placeholder deposit, we'll be inviting financial gifts on the day. We ask you to take into consideration what you might pay elsewhere for something similar; what you can afford; and your desire to support this work. As a guide, we are suggesting between £15 and £30 in total (including your initial payment) for this event. But it's fine if your contribution is less, or indeed more. If the deposit payment is a problem for you, we would be happy to refund some or all of this on the day.

We are a registered Charity and can therefore claim Gift Aid on donations made, which means you can boost your donation by 25p for every £1 you donate (without paying any extra). Gift Aid is reclaimed by us from the tax you pay for the current tax year. There are some questions to complete in the booking form if you are a UK tax payer and wish for us to claim the Gift Aid on your donation.

We're offering this on a gift basis, and suggesting a sliding scale of between £15 and £30. Your initial £15 is to reserve your place, but please get in touch if this is a problem for you as we don't want finances to be a barrier.
We'll be inviting additional financial gifts on the day and will send more information to help you think through how much you would like to contribute.
Further details about what you can expect from the morning and how to prepare will be sent on booking.
If the questions in the booking form are not accessible to you for any reason, please be in touch with Liz or Jackie and we can arrange another way of connecting via a call or voice note share.
