November selected title: All the Light We Cannot See by Anthony Doerr

All the Light We Cannot See follows the separate lives of Marie-Laure, a French blind girl, and Werner, a German orphan, from 1934 until their paths finally collide in 1944, in St-Malo (France).
An imaginative and intricate novel inspired by the horrors of World War II and written in short, elegant chapters that explore human nature and the contradictory power of technology, All the Light We Cannot See won the 2015 Pulitzer Prize for Fiction.

Anthony Doerr is the author of The Shell Collector, About Grace, Memory Wall, Four Seasons in Rome and the just published Cloud Cuckoo Land.
