Connection, art, creativity, music, storytelling, friendships and fun are at the heart of Spun Glass Theatre’s First Workshops for parents and babies 0-18 months!
Come join our popular parent and baby group and explore a variety of different creative activities together every week, including song-singing, music, movement, sensory play, storytelling and much more.
Throughout the term, we will work on various artistic projects together as a group, with an exciting 6-week schedule planned. Our workshop leaders will introduce you and your baby to new activities every week, helping you to discover new experiences together.
Building a friendly, welcoming group
Welcoming a new baby into your family can be challenging, but there's no need to feel like you're going through it alone - having a supportive group around you can make all the difference when you are a new parent or carer.
We create a welcoming, inclusive space where you can choose to be open about the challenges you experience with a new baby. Relax, recharge, connect with your baby, and make new friends.
Based at the NEW Mini Playhouse!
From 2023, First and Second Workshops will be running from Spun Glass Theatre's NEW children's theatre in Hastings - a safe creative space designed for babies, toddlers and young children.
Following on from the success of their pop-up venue 'Play Place' in St Leonards earlier this year, the team have been working hard behind the scenes to design and deliver an inspiring space where the youngest children can experience the magical world of theatre and performing arts for the first time. This is a safe, welcoming, judgement-free theatre where families can experience live performances, workshops and free play sessions.
Facilities include:
⭐ Sessions last 1hr 30 mins - refreshments are provided.
⭐ Free spaces available for single parents, those under 25 and those on Universal Credit.
