Supporting Informed Choice for Employment - Free Virtual Event

This is an online event.

Joining instructions will be provided after booking.

Details

This course is presented using funding provided by DHS to help ensure people have access to the highest quality home and community based supports.

In the past, the employment opportunities for people with disabilities were very limited. Fortunately, employment options have greatly expanded but many people still don’t know about the possibilities or how to achieve them. In this course, we will discuss how you can support people to make informed choices regarding competitive community employment. We will explore topics such as helping the people you support to understand their options, using person-centered practices to guide the process, overcoming obstacles to employment, and more. Join us to see how facilitating informed choice in employment could greatly impact the lives of the people you support.
