A few bits of information for the sessions:
Clothing - long sleeves only please! This protects your children from the sun, from bites and stings and from sparks from the fire. A good idea is to pack them with spare socks or even a whole new outfit! We have access to a stream so cannot guarantee dry children! Closed toe sturdy shoes or wellies are recommended.
Hand towel - please send your child with a personal hand towel to support our Covid measures
Food - Please pack a bottle of drinking water. Please let us know now if your child has any dietary needs.
Ticks - please follow this guidance and check for them when you collect.
Toilet - there is no toilet at Dukes Hagg (yet!) so children will be supported to have 'wild wees and poos'. They will be given privacy, toilet paper and hand sanitiser. If you think your child may need a little more help with toileting please can contact the lead practitioner directly to discuss.
Finally, please have a quick read through our policies and procedures here:
We continue to take Covid transmissions seriously and will ensure regular handwashing and promotion of catch it bin it kill it approach. If your child has Covid or Covid symptoms we ask that they do not attend our setting. If you have any concerns or questions about the updated Covid guidance please ask.
We want to ensure we're delivering forest school that reflects our values and best meets the needs of everyone who attends. As such, we evaluate all of our provision and want your voice to be heard. You'll shortly receive an email invitation to complete a short survey and would really appreciate your participation.
We hope your children have a wonderful time in the woods :)
