Designated by the National College of Teaching and Learning, the Leicester Teaching School is pleased to be able to offer this exciting opportunity for Governors to work together on improving the quality of Governance in our schools, thereby improving the life chances of our young people.

Objectives of the workshop. At the end of the workshop, delegates will:

  • Know the definition of ‘disadvantaged pupils’ and the funding they attract
  • Be clear on the role of the Governing Body and its accountability for Pupil Premium
  • Know what data is available and how it can be used to ask the right questions
  • Be aware of whole-school strategies that have been successful and effective.

Other workshops for governors are available covering Financial Efficiencies, the Inspection Dashboard, Safeguarding, Forming or Joining a MAT and Governing Body Panels.
