Have you always wanted to try watercolour… but didn’t know where to start? Or maybe you’ve had a go before and it just didn’t quite click?

Join us at The Craftery Beccles for a relaxed, welcoming and inspiring 4-week watercolour course, where you’ll learn how to truly understand this beautiful (and often misunderstood!) medium 🎨✨

This course is designed especially for complete beginners, as well as those who have “had a go” but want to build real confidence and finally feel more comfortable with watercolour.

✨ Over the 4 weeks you will explore:

🎨 Week 1 – Foundations & Techniques

We’ll start right at the beginning, getting to know all of our materials and how they work together (without it feeling confusing or overwhelming!).

From paints and brushes to all the little extras, I’ll guide you through it all in a really simple, relaxed way — sharing the tips and tricks I’ve learnt along the way that can really change how you see and work with watercolour 🎨✨

🌤️ Week 2 – Skies

A magical week full of colourful skies, soft clouds, glowing sunsets and different ways to create atmosphere and light.

We’ll explore a variety of techniques together while learning how to let the water and paint flow naturally across the paper ☁️✨

🌊 Week 3 – Water

This week is all about movement, reflections and flow.

We’ll explore calm waters, ripples, reflections and more expressive water effects while learning how to create depth and movement using watercolour 🌊✨

🌿 Week 4 – Trees & Flowers

Our final week is all about loosening up, having fun and exploring texture!

Using brushes, natural sponges and even a credit card 👀 we’ll create loose trees, foliage and florals in a really expressive and enjoyable way.
