MAIN SESSIONS NOW ONLINE BY ZOOM
We have made the difficult decision to cancel our booking with Saunton Sands Hotel for our 2022 Ministry Retreat and make changes to our programme so that the main sessions are now online but with the option for those who wish to still meet up together face-to-face to do so.
We are extremely disappointed – we know how much many of those who have already booked really wanted to meet and relax together with friends and colleagues – but we feel sure that this ‘hybrid’ option is the correct approach under the circumstances. We know how important it is for those in ministry to stop, retreat, rest, pray and reflect, especially at this moment, and we would love you to commit this time to do so as much as is possible.
All of the main sessions will be online using Zoom. This means those who have concerns about meeting up in person with others can still be a part of the Ministry Retreat. However, those who wish to meet together in the same place may choose to do so (possibly in small district Cluster groups) and take part in the Zoom sessions together. We would urge you to take all the necessary precautions to make meeting together in the same place as safe as possible if you choose this option.
For all those who book to attend this hybrid Ministry Retreat via this booking form, we would like to send you a copy of Andy Percey’s book, “Infused With Life’ which is the theme of this year’s Ministry Retreat. We are sure you will be blessed by reading it, possibly as part of the time you are setting aside on 31/1-2/2, and those who have registered for the Baptists Together Continuing Ministerial Development programme can add their reflections on the book to their portfolio.
We are asking that you make a £20 contribution towards administration and speaker costs - thank you!
Here's some more information about our Retreat theme...
It has been the most challenging of times for all those serving in all forms of ministry. After constantly needing to react to ever changing rules and adapt in ways no-one could ever have imagined, many of those in ministry feel the need to stop, breathe, recover and recuperate. This year we have planned some time away together to do just that. We have put together a programme that includes lots of time for reflection around the rhythm of a retreat focussing on the theme of ‘Infused with Life: exploring God’s gift of rest in a world of busyness’.
