From The Ground Up
Diana will be returning us to our roots – the feet! She will lead us in an exploration of how the postures build from the ground upwards.
“Let’s start at the very beginning, a very good place to start,” sings Maria in The Sound of Music, and gosh, Diana agrees with her. Now, she's not going to ask you to sing - or dance for that matter - but she will be inviting you to join her at base camp in the foothills of the mountains.
From there, we shall set off bright and early with the warmth of the sun, one careful step at a time, ascending slowly but surely and like mountain goats, keep nimble and playful along the way.
Where will our journey take us? Will we reach the summit? Do we even know what/where the summit is? Together, we will explore the standing postures, the very foundation of yoga asana and it might just be that at
…..the end of all our exploring
Will be to arrive where we started
And know the place for the first time. (T.S. Eliot).
Each teacher is unique and brings to their classes their own inestimable experience and energy. This is what Diana does with her classes. What works, she teaches; what she knows, she teaches; what she loves, she teaches. Yet she recognises fully that yoga is a personal journey and that each of her students is on his or her own journey of discovery. Her job is to facilitate that journey, providing them with a safe structure from which to explore and grow and learn! She qualified with the BWY, teaching a broad range of students from the very young to the very old, from total beginners to more experienced teachers.
