The yoga session is followed by a 'bring your own' drinks and nibbles since under Covid restrictions and with the kitchen closed, this year we won't be providing our traditional non-alcoholic punch or sharing nibbles
Move, Breathe, Relax and Meditate
Let yourself delve into the world of peace and calm - an asana based on balances and movement - dance the dance of Shiva & Ganesha, allowing us to become conscious of our patterns and overcome our obstacles with emphasis in generating calm, followed by a yoga Nidra. Round it off with pranayama and meditation on Vishoka Meditation.
Raquel qualified and started teaching in 1992 She is qualified as BWY, Para Yoga, Sivananda Teacher; teaching is her great joy. Sharing her passion, passing on knowledge and witnessing individuals connect with their inner strength and wisdom is a true privilege.
Originally from Africa, she now lives in the UK. Her teachings draws from many styles, and has a strong pull towards Tantra, but calls on her years as an Ashtanga practitioner and her years doing Iyengar yoga. She also loves to incorporate restorative, relaxation techniques and meditation and on occasion chanting too, accompanied by the harmonium.
Her personal practice draws on her current teacher's teachings; she also assists him when he is teaching in Europe. She is a 500 hours yoga alliance Eyr (senior teacher), currently is a tutor and Mentor on the YogaCampus Teacher Training Programme and a BWY Foundation teacher.
She brings a wealth of knowledge to her teaching, with great attention to alignment and empowers her students to have fun and to enquiry within, and aiding them to empower themselves.
