The Inspection Dashboard Workshop for Governors is intended to compliment the workshops for Senior Leaders and will focus on what governors need to know about the Dashboard in order to hold their school to account, and support and challenge the leadership team.

This workshop aims to:

  • help governors to support and challenge the leadership team
  • show how strengths and weaknesses are highlighted and provide guidance on to how to use the Inspection Dashboard effectively
  • Use data from your own school in the previous academic year

The workshop is facilitated by Giles Osborne who is currently an Associate Principal at a secondary school in London. He has worked in a range of good and outstanding schools and was formerly an advisor to Kent LEA and a Senior University Lecturer at Brighton, Cambridge and Canterbury Christ Church. He is a national trainer for Analyse School Performance and is currently supporting academy chains as an Improvement Partner on preparation for Ofsted and data strategy, as well as working with a range of alternative provisions. He is the co-creator of ‘TEAM’, the National Database for SEMH schools and PRUs and a national bench marking tool and progress model. Giles also sits on a Local Governing Body and is an experienced governor trainer, in addition to being a Governor Leadership Mentor for a DfE funded national programme.
