Join us for a Contemporary Ballet masterclass with Joshua Beamish.This masterclass will be geared to adult dancers at a more advanced level who wish to work at a faster pace and have a good knowledge and understanding of ballet steps and terminology.
The class will consist of Ballet Barre, followed by some of Joshua's Contemporary Ballet choreographic phrasing.
Joshua Beamish is a Canadian choreographer who is based between Vancouver and New York. He created multiple works for the ROH Studio Programmes with Royal Ballet artists and has also made works for The National Ballet of Canada, The Joyce Theater, BAM Brooklyn, Dutch National Choreographic Academy and Cirque du Soleil for WORLD Expo Shanghai, among others. From 2012-2015, he toured with Wendy Whelan, New York City Ballet’s Associate Artistic Director, as her duet partner and choreographer in Restless Creature, which included a presentation at ROH.
