Creative Woodworking Sessions for Women is a monthly membership which gives you access to our Carpentry and Joinery workshop 2 times a month on the first and 3rd Friday of every month. You will get expert tutor guidance to help you work on your own projects and our tutor will make an individual learning plan with you. You will learn how to realise the project of your choice from the design and planning stages to making, using the appropriate tools and woodworking techniques. You will be able to come along to extra sessions at no additional cost, like a visit to the local builders merchant or sawmill for demystifying ordering and buying timber for example.
We recommend that you commit to a minimum of 3 months membership, although you can cancel giving us 4 weeks notice before your next billing date.
All tools will be provided, although you are free to bring your own and we will check if they are safe to use, show you how to use them or keep them sharp.
The sourcing of the necessary materials is the student's responsibility, as it's part of learning to realise your own projects. Our tutor will give you all the necessary guidance.
We currently have either the full membership where you can attend 2 full days a month and a half membership option as well, where you can attend 2 half days a month, either morning or afternoon.
Tutors: Miranda Salmon - Furniture Maker or Astrid Arnold - Carpenter
