A short six week portrait painting course working with one model, full body costumed. Work in oils, water mixable oils or acrylics. You will need to bring your own materials and I am happy to advise.
I will be teaching set up, composition, colour mixing, shadow shapes and much more. You can leave your work in the art room between classes. This is a small class of just 6 people.
Covid safety - Masks are optional but I will be wearing one when coming close to you and your work. If circumstances force cancellation I will refund any money owed to participants.

Booking will receive six two-hour classes. You will need:
A canvas or board of approx 16 x 20 inches
Paints: Oils,water based oil paints or acrylics a minimum of yellow ochre, cadmium red, black and white plus assorted colour for costume.
Palette, dipping pot (oils) and painting medium
Brushes - I can advise
Paper towels and an apron
We have jam jars for water-based brush washing, please bring a plastic bag or clingfilm to take home oil-based brushes for cleaning.

The 4020 Art room is located on the second floor (sorry, no lift!) of the building, through the door on the second floor, left and to the end of the corridor, the room is at the far end on the right. There is free parking at the venue.
