Light-Up 3D Portraits for Black History Month @ Fullwell Cross Library (Lab FX) (8-12 yrs)

Details

Get ready for a blast in this super fun workshop specially designed for Black History Month! You’ll craft a vibrant 3D portrait of someone from the Black community that inspires you using recycled card, tissue paper, and a bunch of exciting materials. And here’s the cool part – we’ll show you how to jazz up your artwork with a light-up feature using a simple electric circuit.

You’ll get to play with copper tape, batteries, and LEDs to make your creation shine! It’s the perfect combo of art and tech, designed for all you curious minds who love a hands-on project.

Suitable for children 8-12 years old.

Delivered by Bee Clarke, from Witty Ditty Designs, an independent design company delivering awesome arts & tech workshops.

Instructions

-- We kindly ask that you arrive 10 minutes early so we can begin right on time. If you're not in the library by the start time, we will offer your spot to a child who is waiting in the library that day.

-- Just a heads up, if your child needs to use the bathroom during the workshop, they'll need to go on their own, and the restroom is a bit of a walk from where the workshop will be held.

-- If you're picking up your child after the session, please be sure to arrive on time, as they will be released into the library immediately.
