Open to Key Stage 2 only
Explore the beautiful classical French style of dance! Ballet teaches structure, strength and stamina, and is even useful to athletes to build muscle and improve balance and co-ordination.
Pupils will learn technique through exercises and dance sequences every week.
Children should change into their PE kits or clothing suitable for movement, e.g. tshirt and jogging bottoms or leggings. Branded VyMy Dance dancewear is available at www.vymydance.co.uk/vymyuniform however this is not compulsory.
Children should also bring with them a bottle of water to drink when they need.
Ballet shoes will be available to borrow, however there's no guarantee we will have enough in each size. Children may also dance barefoot or they can bring their own ballet or jazz shoes if they own them.
There is no need to buy ballet/jazz shoes for any of the dance clubs, however if you wish to do so, you can order via VyMy Dance (email nisha@vymydance.co.uk for more details)
