So you know how to sling a shuttle, but aren’t quite sure how to set up your loom for a project? That’s where this course comes in!
From warping up your loom to twisting your last fringe, Emily is ready to guide you through your first big project. In this 2-part course, each student will explore the ins and outs of warping their own loom with two or more colours, spreading their warp, weaving stripes and checks, removing their project from the loom, and twisting the fringe. Students will have the option of adding hemstitching to their work. The final class will conclude with a discussion on washing/fulling and next projects.

Basic weaving experience is required (either Introduction to Rigid Heddle Weaving, Introduction to Tapestry Weaving, or equivalent). Students should already have a basic understanding of how to make plain weave as this course will focus more on setting up the loom and designing the scarf.
All supplies are included, and the shop will provide looms for the duration of the class. If students wish to take a loom home between classes, a refundable deposit on the first day will be required.

Supplies included:
3 skeins of Cascade 220 yarn
