First of all, this award is all about keeping safe on white water rivers. So, whether you are paddling with friends or using the training course as preparation for a Leadership qualification, this practical course is packed with safe, practical solutions. Whether you Kayak, Stand Up Paddleboard, Canoe or Sit on Top, this course provides appropriate skills for both safety and rescue on rivers.

Level: Confident paddling on Grade 2 water

Instructions

The meet time is 09:30 at the location stated above.
Please come prepared with a packed lunch and drink.

Please ensure you bring all the equipment needed to complete this course, the list below is essential;

  • Kayak, Canoe or SUP with paddles
  • White Water spec PFD (ideally with chest harness)
  • White Water spec helmet
  • A drysuit is desirable during colder months
  • Sturdy hard soled footwear
  • Throw Bag
  • Plenty of warm thermals If you need to borrow any equipment please contact us as soon as possible.
