Join us for these 3-hour yin yoga and gong bath healing workshops to harmonise the energies and elements within your body.

We will begin with a collective sound scan which uses specific frequencies and vibrations from the voice to promote well-being and potentially address imbalances in the body and mind. Then moving on to yin yoga, a meditative practice, where poses are held for extended periods to target the connective tissues in the body, meridians (energy channels), associated organs and chakras (energy centres), to release deeply held physical and emotional tension and unblock stagnant energy. During the yoga practice, Tibetan singing bowls will be placed on your body or tuning forks used on your bones to deepen your healing experience. Finally, lying back and surrendering to the resonant vibrations of the ancient gong, to promote deep relaxation, stress reduction and a sense of peace.

Each workshop will have a particular focus aligning with different energy centres in the body. A profoundly powerful way to re-balance and re-set in a small group setting.

Sat 26 April, 10.30am - 1.30pm - focus is on strengthening our Solar Plexus Chakra, reclaiming our sovereignty by using our will power to break out of old patterns and align with our soul’s true purpose.

Sat 7 June, 2-5pm – focus is on the Heart Chakra to manifest the intentions of joy and abundance through the seamless and transparent connection between the heart and mind.

Sun 2 November, 1-4pm – focus is on the Throat Chakra (expression) and the Third Eye Chakra (vision and intuition) to enable the manifestation of our truest and deepest yearnings.

All workshops will be held at ZenYoga in Camberwell.

About the facilitators:
Kanwal / Yogabliss
Kanwal’s teaching style is characterized by warmth, intuition and clear communication. Her classes are engaging and inclusive, with an emphasis on deep stretches, slow flows and mindful breathing. She encourages students to go beyond the physical postures and to delve into the transformative philosophy that underlies yoga. Kanwal was drawn to yoga in her 20s as a way of keeping a centre of gravity whilst doing a robust job working on women's rights and social justice and eventually trained with Yoghaven in 2010 (hot, vinyasa) and more recently with Norman Blair (yin). Kanwal has had a regular meditation and qi gong practice since 2017. She currently teaches hatha and yin yoga styles in South London.

San is a trained Sound Healing Practitioner who uses gongs, crystal bowls, Tibetan singing bowls, drums, tuning forks and voice. She recently created quantum healing modality called Toroidal Stargate Activation that facilitates directing toroidal energy in one's energy field and consciousness.

Instructions

We will provide equipment, but feel free to bring your own mat if you prefer.
Please bring your own water bottle.
Avoid a heavy meal for 2 hours before the workshop; a light snack an hour before is fine.

Getting here BY TRAIN - Southern and South Eastern train services to Denmark Hill depart on a regular basis from Victoria, London Bridge and King’s Cross St Pancras.

Getting here BY BUS - London Bus services 12, 35, 36, 40, 42, 45, 68, 171, 176, 185, 345, 436, 468, N35, N68, N89, N136 and N171 all stop at Camberwell Green, which is a short walk from Zen Yoga.
Many of these routes pass through stations such as Elephant & Castle, Waterloo, Paddington, Liverpool Street, Euston and King’s Cross.

EQUIPMENT - ZenYoga provides mats, blocks, straps, bolsters and blankets. Feel free to bring your own if you prefer. Please bring your own water bottle which you can fill up in our kitchen.
