Life-Threatening Bleed Course

Tuesday, 14 July '26   7pm – 10pm BST
3rd Chalkwell Bay Sea Scout Group, The Den, Victoria Wharf, High Street, Leigh-on-Sea, Essex, SS9 2EN
8 spaces available

Details

Training on using the trauma equipment we carry in our wardroom kits, including:
Use of torniquets, trauma dressings, haemostatic gauze, vented and non-vented chest seals, for managing life-threatening bleeds, penetrating injuries, chest injuries, amputations etc.

This is hands on training using fake limbs and props for people to get hands on with, and actually have a go using the equipment.

Due to the nature of the training, this is not appropriate for anyone particularly squeamish / doesn't like the sight of blood etc.

This is for adult helpers / leaders only. Priority will be given to sections heads and section leader attending summer camp this year.

If you are unable to attend, please let me know. If there is enough interest I will put on more courses.

Participants will receive a regulated certificate issued through NUCO, valid for 3 years, can be used outside of scouting.
