Join us for the Have-a-go AcroDay, featuring two acro workshop rounds followed by the Acro Nottingham Showcase. Spaces are limited to keep training safe and supportive.
Each workshop rounds offer three options to choose from (Introduction / Beginner+ / Intermediate). Workshop choices are made in advance when booking.
Between sessions there will be time to relax, socialise, meet other participants and enjoy open jam space to practise.
The day finishes with the Acro Nottingham Showcase, celebrating what our students have achieved and giving the public a chance to see what acro is all about.
Ticket options include full day passes, individual workshops, showcase add-ons, or showcase-only tickets

If you book a workshop, you can stay and watch the showcase at a discounted price (just £4.90!)
After booking, you’ll receive a 30% discount code in your confirmation email. You can use this to book your showcase seat.

You don’t need a partner or any acro experience — just curiosity and a willingness to try.
Through guided workshops you’ll learn the foundations of acro, from simple counterbalances and beginner skills to transitions and flows.

WORKSHOP DESCRIPTIONS
R1: Intro to Acro & Counterbalances
This workshop introduces the foundations of acro. We’ll begin with an overview of what acro is all about — including roles within acro, safety, and how to progress effectively. From there we’ll move into practical skills, exploring partner counterbalances and fun, accessible tricks.

Learn an L-base flow featuring pops and tricks — fly high and have fun.

This workshop begins with core acro techniques including grips, timing, body awareness and synchronisation. You’ll then explore beginner L-basing skills before finishing with accessible standing acro tricks.

Learn both static and dynamic acro tricks with a standing base.

Develop technique and strength to make your Icarian feel solid and stable. Through progressive drills you’ll work toward performing an Icarian courbette.
Pre-requisites:
• Straight Icarian throws
• Solid L-base star
• Flyers able to hold a 10-second spotted handstand
