In partnership with Reading Rocks, All About STEM is delighted to be able to offer teachers, STEM Ambassadors and other interested partners the opportunity to get involved in our new Reading is STEMsational Programme.

Reading is STEMsational is a literacy project which supports primary teachers to deliver a school STEM week. The programme has recently been piloted in three primary schools in the North West and now we're ready to launch the programme more generally.

We have curated sets of fiction and non-fiction texts, focused on particular STEM themes, which primary schools can loan from All About STEM, free-of-charge, to plan their STEM Week literacy lessons. Teachers can then use the topics covered in the texts as a spring-board for their weekly planning so that assemblies, other subjects, extra-curricular activities etc all focus on the STEM theme.

The school's STEM Week should be enriched through visits from other organisations, including STEM Ambassadors, and activities planned to engage with parents in order to encourage pupils' involvement in STEM activity outside of school.

Teachers! Come along to this launch session to find out how to get your pupils involved. See the texts and get ideas for developing a STEM Week at your school.

STEM Ambassadors and other partners! Come and find out what you could do to share your STEM skills, knowledge and expertise to support the schools as they plan their STEM Week activities.
