Details

A day to focus on watercolour techniques appropriate for creating a portrait from photographs.
First time portrait painters will work from supplied high quality images.
If you have already completed a portrait workshop, you are welcome to work from your own image.

We will work on developing key skills including -
effective use of contrast
colour mixing (flesh tones)
wet-in-wet (for smooth transitions of skin tones)
negative painting (to create depth and texture in hair)
Detail (facial features)

Please note - this particular workshop focuses on watercolour painting techniques rather than drawing.

Instructions

All specialist materials, sundries and paper are supplied - please bring your own brushes and paints if you have them (or use class equipment if you don't)

A complimentary light lunch is included along with teas/coffees etc

Situated in my small holding, there is a gravel drive with plenty of parking and two steps to the front door, toilets and studio are all on the ground floor on one level.
