This workshop is designed for practitioners who are curious about the Intermediate Series (Nadi Shodhana) but unsure where to begin and would like to explore new movement patterns and postures, as well as those who already have an established Second Series practice, but would like to deepen their experience and understanding, as well as learn different options for assisting others.
· Dive into the energetics of the Ashtanga Second Series
· Learn accessible approaches to challenging postures for all levels
· Gain solid techniques and deep understanding of each pose
· Explore research postures to deepen your practice or modify difficult asanas
· Discover the unique energy flow of the Intermediate Series
5 Mornings of Mysore (Wednesday to Sunday)
6am – 8:30am - MYSORE (Wednesday – Friday)
Friday Evening:
6:00pm – 7:30pm – Workshop: The Subtle Body – What is the Subtle Energy Body?
Learn about the Subtle Energy Body and expand your understanding of the Conscious Field through a harmonious blend of ancient Eastern wisdom and modern Western science. You will learn practical techniques to heighten your awareness of the energy channels and centers through breath, vibration, visualization and meditation.
Saturday:

2pm – 5pm – Workshop: Second Series PART 1 – Anchoring the Pranic Movement &
Breath-work
From Pāśāsana (Noose Pose) to Ardha Matsyendrāsana (Half Lord of the Fishes Pose)
The first half of the Ashtanga Yoga Intermediate Series (Nadi Shodhana) is all about opening to the upward movement of Prana. This workshop is designed to guide practitioners of all levels through the intricacies of first postures.
We will end this workshop with a breathwork session to facilitate continued movement of the energy through the subtle channels to deepen your awareness of the subtle body.
Sunday:
9:00am – 11:30am – Mysore
12:30pm – 3:30pm – Workshop: Second Series PART 2 – Root Down to Go Up: Apana & Meditation
From Ekapāda Śīrṣāsana (Foot Behind the Head Pose) to Ūrdhva Dhanurāsana(Upward Bow Pose)
Continue your exploration of the Ashtanga Yoga Intermediate Series (Nadi Shodhana) with this in-depth workshop.
· Discover exercises to build the strength needed for advanced postures
· Experiment with different approaches to find what works best for your body
· Utilize props creatively to support your practice at any level
· Learn safe and effective ways to approach these challenging asanas
· Gain insights into the energetic flow of the full Intermediate Series
We will end this workshop with grounding pranayama and meditation to experience the full benefits of the practice and integrate the new opening and awareness.
Prior experience with the first half of the Intermediate Series is beneficial but not required. All dedicated practitioners are welcome.

For all workshops we will provide a full refund (less 15% admin & inconvenience fee) to those who cancel 60 days before the workshop commences. After this time, there will be no refund unless your place can be secured from a waiting list, in which case your fee will be refunded (less a 15% admin & inconvenience fee). Should the event be cancelled by Ashtanga Yoga York you will be offered a refund.
Due to teacher cancellations, low bookings or other situations outside of our control, some courses may be temporarily or permanently unavailable. We reserve the right to make any changes to our programme, courses or teachers. Alternative arrangements are offered to the best of our ability but, if not taken up, we do not accept responsibility for any costs incurred, including travel costs.
We ask that you tell the teacher if you have any particular pre-existing injury or illness that is relevant. We advise that if you are feeling any pain or illness during any class you should stop and rest.
