Babies Can Play at Canterbury Playcentres
Weekly sessions for under-2s are now being held in lots of Playcentres, focusing on learning through sensory play, stories and music, while also providing a supportive environment for whanau and pan week 1, 10, and 20 of the programmetators lead each session, providing opportunities to share and discuss the development of infants and keeping the session relevant to the group.
The programme fee is charged once per family, it is the same rate for twins or multiples.rents.
Experienced facilis evolve as your child grows. We're often using everyday resources in interesting and challenging ways, so you can try things out at home too.
Meet others with infants of the same age with whom you can share your journey into parenthood.
Babies CanPlay offers:
Mana...learning and development - Opportunities for infants to learn through sensory play, music and stories, with the support of their whanau and parents as first educators to ensure they become capable and confident learners.
Manaaki...support - Share your journey into parenthood, supporting and learning from other whanau and parents alongside our experienced facilitators so you can gain confidence in parenting and build up a strong social network.
Whanaungatanga...fun - Within a safe and friendly environment, babies, whanau and parents are provided with interesting equipment, music and stories. Your involvement as a parent will make your child's learning experience much richer.
Babies Can Play runs for 30 weeks initially, during school term in different Playcentres throughout the region see below for the venue options available. Families enroll at one centre that is running the programme, and commit to attending that programme regularly.
To make a booking click on the desired programme, select, proceed, book now and complete details requested. If your baby is not born yet write TBA. The booking you make, reserves your place for the duration of the programme
WINZ Child Care Subsidies are available for Babies Can Play @ Playcentre Aotearoa programmes. The WINZ Child Care subsidy is ‘means’ tested and requires both parents to disclose financial information. If you would like forms sent to you please email firstname.lastname@example.org. The subsidy covers the full cost of the programme.
