Phlebotomy Services - Barnsley Community Diagnostic Centre
Details
All patients over 16 years for GP referral blood tests, repeat outpatient clinic blood tests and Coagulant Patients will be required to have their blood samples taken at the Barnsley Community Diagnostic Centre.
All GP patients and outpatient clinic patients who require follow up blood tests - To Book your appointment- Please select your DATE and TIME slot from the list of timings on the schedule table and press the Light Blue "SELECT" button to confirm your booking.
Only 1 slot is needed per patient-Please DO NOT book double slots, if you feel you need more time due to any reason, please add this in the 'Information for Phlebotomist' section.
Please note that appointments are generally booked 10-12 working days in advance due to the success of the new system and therefore please utilise the date selection at the top of slot timings; this will ensure you do not scroll through each day.
Please only attend the CDC at your specified appointment time and at the beginning of your allotted time slot.
Warfarin clinic appointments will still be made by clinic staff, not via this system. If the appointment time allocated is not suitable, please ring the contact number in the front of your yellow book to change as strict appointment times will now apply
Instructions
Whilst the CDC is a wheelchair accessible facility there is no vehicle access outside the facility. If you require vehicular access for Pathology Services, patients are still required to attend the Phlebotomy Services at the Main Hospital Site.
Patients that are Fasting should ideally look at booking appointments in the morning.
Oncology patients should still ensure they attend their appointments at the Main Hospital Site and not the CDC.

The Glass Works is ideally located near Barnsley station. With regular services to Sheffield, Huddersfield, Leeds, Nottingham and more, the train is a great alternative to driving when coming to The Glass Works
