Our qualified guides will lead you through the island's diverse landscapes while sharing stories about its wildlife, history and natural environment.

🚐 Day 1 – Manchester to the Isle of Mull

We'll meet in Manchester and begin our journey north, travelling by minibus through the stunning Scottish Highlands towards the west coast.

⛴️ Ferry to Mull – We'll cross the water with spectacular views across the Sound of Mull.

πŸ•οΈ Arrival on Mull – Once we arrive at Craignure, we'll make our way to the campsite, get settled in and enjoy a relaxing evening before tomorrow's big adventure.

πŸ”οΈ Day 2 – Climb Ben More

After breakfast, we'll prepare for the main challenge of the trip – Ben More, Mull's highest mountain.

Standing at 966m, Ben More offers incredible views across Mull, the surrounding islands and the Scottish mainland. πŸŒ„

We'll make our way towards the summit across varied mountain terrain, including rocky and scrambly sections.

Once at the summit, we'll take time to enjoy the views before beginning our descent and returning to camp for a well-earned rest. 😴

🐬 Day 3 – Mull & Wildlife Adventure

After yesterday's mountain challenge, we'll spend the day discovering some of the best that Mull has to offer.

🚐 We'll explore the island by minibus, stopping at scenic viewpoints and wildlife hotspots along the way.

🏘️ We'll visit Tobermory, Mull's famous colourful harbour town, with time to explore, grab a coffee and take in the views.

🚀 Then it's time for the highlight of the day – a wildlife boat trip to the incredible island of Staffa, with tickets included in the trip price!

Keep your eyes on the water as we look for:

🐬 Dolphins
🌊 Porpoises
πŸ‹ Minke whales
🐧 Puffins

We'll also get the chance to explore Staffa and see its famous Fingal's Cave and dramatic basalt columns. πŸŒ‹

After a full day exploring Mull and Staffa, we'll return to the campsite for our final night.

⛴️ Day 4 – Mull to Manchester

After breakfast, we'll pack up camp and enjoy a final morning on the island.

We'll catch the ferry back to the mainland before beginning our journey south through the Scottish Highlands and back to Manchester. 🚐

Walking time: Approximately 5–6 hours
Difficulty: Challenging

Please note: Ben More is a large mountain and this is a challenging hike. The route includes steep, rocky and scrambly terrain, and a good level of fitness is required.

This hike is not recommended for beginners and is broadly comparable to the challenge of Scafell Pike.

Weather conditions can change quickly in the Scottish mountains, so suitable clothing, footwear and equipment are essential. 🌦️πŸ₯Ύ

What do I need to bring?

Try to pack these items into a maximum of two bags as the minibus may be full, things may get a little cramped. We have a max of 10 people for our 16-seat bus for comfort.

For the Weekend:

  • Change of clothes

  • Toiletries

  • Money for food/drinks (when in town)

  • Swimwear if you want to brave the cold Scottish waters

For the hike:

  • Backpack (20-40 litre max)

  • Waterproof Jacket and pants

  • Walking Boots/Shoes (trainers as last option)

  • Walking trousers/shorts (No Jeans)

  • Fleece

  • Warm Jacket

  • Gloves

  • Hat

  • Food (sandwiches are ideal)

  • Snacks

  • Flask with a hot drink

  • Water (minimum 1 litre)

  • Personal First Aid/medication

For camping:

  • Cooker (We will bring a large cooker to boil water for everyone)

  • Bowl, plate, cup and cutlery

  • Sleeping bag (We rent these at a small cost)

  • Sleeping mat (We rent these at a small cost)

  • Tent (We rent these at a small cost)

  • Food, tea, coffee, sugar etc

  • Warm clothes

  • Torch

We have spare kit that we can lend and rent to you if you may need, just let us know before the event so we can arrange it.
