Progress Pride Flag Quilt! - Ages 17 and up - For Strong Beginners

Come show your LGBTQIA+ Pride and support at Beehive and learn to make this awesome Progress Pride Flag Quilt! JoAnna will guide you through the process of cutting and piecing it together. You don't even need to pick fabrics because we have that covered!

This class is meant for strong beginners, which means you only need to know the basics of threading and operating a sewing machine. We can guide you through the rest!

Supplies:

• Class fee covers all of the rainbow fabrics to create the flag!
• Pattern is free and provided during class.
• Sewing machine in working condition with necessary accessories (let us know if you need to borrow one!)
• Neutral thread color
• Cutting tools (scissors or rotary cutter)
• Ruler
• Size 75/11 Quilting Needle
• Pins Optional:
• 1/4" Presser foot

The Progress Pride flag was developed in 2018 by non-binary artist and designer Daniel Quasar. Based on the iconic rainbow flag by Gilbert Baker from 1978, the redesign celebrates the diversity of the LGBTQIA+ community and calls for a more inclusive society. Quasar added black, brown, light blue, pink, and white triangle stripes to advocate for progress while highlighting inclusion of transgender and LGBTQIA+ people of color.

The Pride Flag Quilt design was created by Lane Hunter, follow lane on Instagram @tworightfeetlane.

CLASS POLICIES
o Your spot will not be reserved in the class until payment is made in full.
o All students or their Parents/Guardians must sign a waiver before participating in class activities. This should be provided as a check box in your checkout process.
o This class has a 3 person minimum. Class may be cancelled if minimum is not met 48 hours prior to class.
o Beehive Craft Studio reserves the right to cancel a class at any time.
If we do so, you'll be issued a full refund.
o Inclement Weather Policy: We reserve the right to cancel class if we deem that weather would make traveling to class dangerous. Every attempt will be made to schedule a makeup for the missed class.

o COVID Policy: We reserve the right to cancel class if we deem that health conditions would make attending class dangerous for teachers and students. Every attempt will be made to schedule a makeup for the missed class.

o No refunds for no-shows or cancellations within 48 hours of workshop. Refunds will be processed online within 48 hours of cancellation with the funds going back to your method of payment.
o Everyone works at different speeds and while we expect everyone to finish by the end of the workshop we can't guarantee it!
