Collage Tote Bag - Ages 17 and up - For Strong Beginners

Explore your creative side with this fast and fun collage tote! You don't have to know how to draw, just sew. Graphic shapes or elements copied from a fabric choice work great. Stack them on and sew them down with raw edge applique and free motion quilting.

This class is great for strong beginners who know the basics of machine operation or for sewing pros that want to learn new techniques and create an art piece that you can carry with you every day!

Supply List:

• Bosal In-R-Form 1-sided fusible foam stabilizer
• 6 fat quarters (coordinating scraps work for additional creative choices)
• 1/2 yard lining fabric
• 48" length of handle webbing in desired width
• Coordinating thread (at least 2 colors)
• Size 100/16 Jeans or Topstitch needle
• Free Motion Presser Foot

Please be sure you have a working sewing machine that has been used within the last 3 months. If you are unsure about your machine, you can borrow one of ours. Please reach out to infobeehivecraftstudio@gmail.com if you need to borrow a machine for class.

Teacher: JoAnna Johnson
JoAnna has been teaching quilt making over 20 years starting in her own quilt shop and later in Austin for the last 8 years. She received an MFA in Fiber Arts from Southern Illinois University. Her quilts have been published in books and traveled in exhibitions across the world. She loves helping students beginning and advanced develop their skills. Quilting brings her great joy and she wants to share that with her students.

CLASS POLICIES
o Your spot will not be reserved in the class until payment is made in full.
o All students or their Parents/Guardians must sign a waiver before participating in class activities. This should be provided as a check box in your checkout process.
o This class has a 3 person minimum. Class may be cancelled if minimum is not met 48 hours prior to class.
o Beehive Craft Studio reserves the right to cancel a class at any time.
If we do so, you'll be issued a full refund.
o Inclement Weather Policy: We reserve the right to cancel class if we deem that weather would make traveling to class dangerous. Every attempt will be made to schedule a makeup for the missed class.

o No refunds for no-shows or cancellations within 48 hours of workshop. Refunds will be processed online within 48 hours of cancellation with the funds going back to your method of payment.
