The Donny Shirt is a boxy pull-on top that is designed to be a workhorse in your wardrobe. It is a dartless top with a lapel collar and patch pocket. You will use the burrito method to create a beautifully finished back yoke and flat sew your sleeves. This project is for an advanced beginner or intermediate sewist. You have made some garments and understand how to cut out patterns pieces utilizing the provided cutting layout. You will be required to cut out your fabrics before class. Supplies:

• Sewing machine and accessories
• Fabric yardage depends on size, between 1.5-2.25 yards: Pattern is designed for woven fabrics. Any sort of light to medium weight woven is suitable. If you choose a fabric like a mid-weight twill or denim you will get a more structured top. If you choose a drapier fabric like a rayon challis or silk, you will get a blousier top. Fabric should be prewashed, then have your pattern pieces cut out prior to the first class.
• Coordinating thread
• 1 yd of 20" wide interfacing (either Shape Flex or Sheerweight, depending on fabric)
• Scissors
• Snips
• Seam gauge
• Removable marking pen
• Straight pins or clips Optional:
• Serger
• Four cones matching serger thread

CLASS POLICIES
o Your spot will not be reserved in the class until payment is made in full.
o All students or their Parents/Guardians must sign a waiver before participating in class activities. This should be provided as a check box in your checkout process.
o This class has a 4 person minimum. Class may be cancelled if minimum is not met 48 hours prior to class.
o Beehive Craft Studio reserves the right to cancel a class at any time.
If we do so, you'll be issued a full refund.
o Inclement Weather Policy: We reserve the right to cancel class if we deem that weather would make traveling to class dangerous. Every attempt will be made to schedule a makeup for the missed class.

o Mask Policy: All students are strongly encouraged to wear masks during workshop time if there is a student or teacher requesting masks.

o No refunds for no-shows or cancellations within 48 hours of workshop. Refunds will be processed online within 48 hours of cancellation with the funds going back to your method of payment.
o Everyone works at different speeds and while we expect everyone to finish by the end of the workshop we can't guarantee it!
