Foundation Paper Piecing: The Dove! - Ages 17 and up - For Confident Beginners

Wonder Garden patterns are so beautiful, but they can be more complicated than general paper piecing designs. Peace Dove is a great way to begin your Wonder Garden adventure! JoAnna will be there to guide you step-by-step, helping you develop techniques and create your own fiber art. Your finished piece can be turned into a wall hanging or pillow!

This class is for confident beginners with some paper piecing experience. Please pick up pattern prior to class and photocopy paper piecing patterns onto Carol Doakes Foundation Paper. Tape together pieces as instructed, then cut apart sections and organize into letter groups, A Through F. JoAnna is available for questions prior to class: joannaquilting@gmail.com.

Supplies:

• Pattern (provided, pickup and prep prior to class as described above)
• Carol Doakes Foundation paper
• Add a Quarter ruler
• Scissors
• Mini clips
• Sewing machine in good working order or email beehiveclasses@gmail.com to borrow one of ours
• Neutral thread (medium grey or tan)
• Fabric yardage: 3/4yd for Background, Fat Quarter for dove, Fat Eighth for branch, and scraps for leaves and other small details. JoAnna will bring some scraps to use for leaves as well.

Please be sure you have a working sewing machine that has been used within the last 3 months. If you are unsure about your machine, you can borrow one of ours. Please reach out to beehiveclasses@gmail.com if you need to borrow a machine for class.

JoAnna has been teaching quilt making over 20 years starting in her own quilt shop and later in Austin for the last 8 years. She received an MFA in Fiber Arts from Southern Illinois University. Her quilts have been published in books and traveled in exhibitions across the world. She loves helping students beginning and advanced develop their skills. Quilting brings her great joy and she wants to share that with her students.

CLASS POLICIES
o Your spot will not be reserved in the class until payment is made in full.
o All students or their Parents/Guardians must sign a waiver before participating in class activities. This should be provided as a check box in your checkout process.
o This class has a 3 person minimum. Class may be cancelled if minimum is not met 48 hours prior to class.
o Beehive Craft Studio reserves the right to cancel a class at any time.
If we do so, you'll be issued a full refund.
o Inclement Weather Policy: We reserve the right to cancel class if we deem that weather would make traveling to class dangerous. Every attempt will be made to schedule a makeup for the missed class.

o No refunds for no-shows or cancellations within 48 hours of workshop. Refunds will be processed online within 48 hours of cancellation with the funds going back to your method of payment.
o Everyone works at different speeds and while we expect everyone to finish by the end of the workshop we can't guarantee it!
