Kristen Quilt - Adult Beginner Quilting Workshop - Ages 17 and up - For Strong Beginners

We love this fun and modern design by Erica Jackman, the Kristen Quilt. This quilt is great for beginners or pros and is perfect for showing off your favorite fabrics! Stretch your imagination with fun fabric color combinations. The associates at the Beehive can help you choose fabrics to fit your style. This is a great way to use a charm pack, layer squares, or a fat quarter pack as well!

This class is for strong beginners, meaning you're comfortable with basic threading and operation of your sewing machine and have sewn some simple projects. If you're unsure of your level or would like a private session before class, please email beehiveclasses@gmail.com for advice or assistance.

-Sewing Machine in good working order with new needle (75/11 quilting needle preferred)
-¼” foot
-Neutral thread
-28mm rotary cutter (45mm is okay)
-Cutting Mat

Please be sure you have a working sewing machine that has been used within the last 3 months. If you are unsure about your machine, you can borrow on or ours. Please reach out to beehiveclasses@gmail.com if you need to borrow a machine for class.

Teacher: JoAnna Johnson
JoAnna has been teaching quilt making over 20 years starting in her own quilt shop and later in Austin for the last 8 years. She received an MFA in Fiber Arts from Southern Illinois University. Her quilts have been published in books and traveled in exhibitions across the world. She loves helping students beginning and advanced develop their skills. Quilting brings her great joy and she wants to share that with her students.

CLASS POLICIES
o Your spot will not be reserved in the class until payment is made in full.
o All students or their Parents/Guardians must sign a waiver before participating in class activities. This should be provided as a check box in your checkout process.
o This class has a 3 person minimum. Class may be cancelled if minimum is not met 48 hours prior to class.
o Beehive Craft Studio reserves the right to cancel a class at any time.
If we do so, you'll be issued a full refund.
o Inclement Weather Policy: We reserve the right to cancel class if we deem that weather would make traveling to class dangerous. Every attempt will be made to schedule a makeup for the missed class.

o No refunds for no-shows or cancellations within 48 hours of workshop. Refunds will be processed online within 48 hours of cancellation with the funds going back to your method of payment.
o Everyone works at different speeds and while we expect everyone to finish by the end of the workshop we can't guarantee it!
