Pillow Series: Piecing and Piping - Ages 17 and up - For Strong Beginners

In the second part of our pillow making series, it's all about the piping! JoAnna with teach you how to make and attach piping around a pillow’s edge as well as some piecing techniques using the Lottie Quilt Pattern. You will also learn to install a zipper!

This class is great for strong beginners and above who know the basics of sewing machine threading and operation.

Piecing and Piping Supply List

• Pattern included. Pick up your pattern prior to class for fabric requirements. ¼ yard extra for piping.
• Rotary Cutter, 6 X 24 ruler and mat
• 2 ½ yards of ¼” cord
• ¾ yard Shape Flex interfacing
• 22” zipper tape
• Zipper foot
• ¼” patchwork foot
• Thread
• Snips

Please be sure you have a working sewing machine that has been used within the last 3 months. If you are unsure about your machine, you can borrow one of ours. Please reach out to beehiveclasses@gmail.com if you need to borrow a machine for class.

JoAnna has been teaching quilt making over 20 years starting in her own quilt shop and later in Austin for the last 8 years. She received an MFA in Fiber Arts from Southern Illinois University. Her quilts have been published in books and traveled in exhibitions across the world. She loves helping students beginning and advanced develop their skills. Quilting brings her great joy and she wants to share that with her students.

o This class has a 3 person minimum. Class may be cancelled if minimum is not met 48 hours prior to class.
o Beehive Craft Studio reserves the right to cancel a class at any time.
If we do so, you'll be issued a full refund.
o Inclement Weather Policy: We reserve the right to cancel class if we deem that weather would make traveling to class dangerous. Every attempt will be made to schedule a makeup for the missed class.

o No refunds for no-shows or cancellations within 48 hours of workshop. Refunds will be processed online within 48 hours of cancellation with the funds going back to your method of payment.
