Circles and Stripes: Yo-Yo Wall Hanging - Strong Beginners - Ages 17 and up - For Beginners

Modern and traditional quilt making come together in this fun to make wall hanging! It
starts with a quilt made from color block stripes and we’ll add the color block fabric yo-
yos. The yo-yos create fun three-dimensional design elements!

Supplies:

• Fabric: 11 colors total. Solids work best for this wall hanging.
• 6 colors, 1 ½ yards each color
• 5 colors, 1 yard each color
• Neutral thread
• Rotary cutter, matt, and 6 X 24-inch ruler
• Neutral buttonhole thread
• Hand sewing needles with eyes large enough to thread thick thread
• Fabric glue or fabric glue stick
• Sewing machine in good working order
• ¼” Patchwork foot and Walking foot recommended.
• Scissors
• 100 Size 1 or 2 Safety pins (if you have them, instructor will have some)

Please be sure you have a working sewing machine that has been used within the last 3 months. If you are unsure about your machine, you can borrow on or ours. Please reach out to beehiveclasses@gmail.com if you need to borrow a machine for class.

JoAnna has been teaching quilt making over 20 years starting in her own quilt shop and later in Austin for the last 8 years. She received an MFA in Fiber Arts from Southern Illinois University. Her quilts have been published in books and traveled in exhibitions across the world. She loves helping students beginning and advanced develop their skills. Quilting brings her great joy and she wants to share that with her students.

CLASS POLICIES
o Your spot will not be reserved in the class until payment is made in full.
o All students or their Parents/Guardians must sign a waiver before participating in class activities. This should be provided as a check box in your checkout process.
o This class has a 3 person minimum. Class may be cancelled if minimum is not met 48 hours prior to class.
o Beehive Craft Studio reserves the right to cancel a class at any time.
If we do so, you'll be issued a full refund.
o Inclement Weather Policy: We reserve the right to cancel class if we deem that weather would make traveling to class dangerous. Every attempt will be made to schedule a makeup for the missed class.

o Mask Policy: All students are strongly encouraged to wear masks during workshop time if there is a student or teacher requesting masks.

o No refunds for no-shows or cancellations within 48 hours of workshop. Refunds will be processed online within 48 hours of cancellation with the funds going back to your method of payment.
o Everyone works at different speeds and while we expect everyone to finish by the end of the workshop we can't guarantee it!
