Garment Patterns Decoded - Ages 17 and up - For Beginners

Ready to start making your own clothes, but intimidated by sewing patterns? In this class, you will get an overview of sewing terminology, pattern marking symbols, different types of fabrics, reading cutting layouts, and how to use the size guide. You will also learn pattern tracing and tips on basic fit adjustments, including grading between sizes. Bring a pattern of your choosing and Jana will help you figure out what to do, so you can start your project with confidence!

Supplies:

• Garment pattern of your choosing
• Translucent pattern paper like Bosal Tracing Material (24"-45" width recommended)
• Measuring tape
• Pattern weights 
• Straight ruler
• Pen or pencil
• Paper scissors
• Notepad Optional:
• Curved ruler

CLASS POLICIES
o Your spot will not be reserved in the class until payment is made in full.
o All students or their Parents/Guardians must sign a waiver before participating in class activities. This should be provided as a check box in your checkout process.
o This class has a 3 person minimum. Class may be cancelled if minimum is not met 48 hours prior to class.
o Beehive Craft Studio reserves the right to cancel a class at any time.
If we do so, you'll be issued a full refund.
o Inclement Weather Policy: We reserve the right to cancel class if we deem that weather would make traveling to class dangerous. Every attempt will be made to schedule a makeup for the missed class.

o No refunds for no-shows or cancellations within 48 hours of workshop. Refunds will be processed online within 48 hours of cancellation with the funds going back to your method of payment.
