Melt and Pour Soap Making Workshop - All Ages*

Melt and Pour soap making is great for all ages, and Emlyn has taught children as young as 2 years old (with parent/guardian present). You will receive some background and chemistry about soap making, all materials for M&P soap making, Emlyn will do a demo of cold process soap making as well as M&P, and each person would leave with two M&P soaps! This workshop is about 1 hour.

All Ages (Children younger than 8 need to be accompanied by an adult.)

*The melt and pour soap making workshop has a 3 person minimum per hour and may be rescheduled or canceled if the minimum is not met 48 hours prior to class.

About Emlyn, founder and soap maker of Solid Soaps:
Emlyn is a Filipina-American and a Texas native. The idea for soapmaking started in 2013 when she wanted to make presents for Christmas. The first soaps she made were melt and pour soaps, and they were a hit with the family and friends! Emlyn then started making cold process soaps, and Solid Soaps came to fruition in April 2018. Prior to soap making, she was an advanced practice nurse in cardiology, and she left her nursing career of 14 years in April 2021 to grow Solid Soaps full-time.

Emlyn currently makes soaps and other bath products in her private studio, affectionately nicknamed "Stu.” You can find her soaps in local, small shops in Austin, as well as online at solidsoaps.com. Follow @solid.soaps on Instagram for regular posts about the soap making process.

CLASS POLICIES
o Your spot will not be reserved in the class until payment is made in full.
o All students or their Parents/Guardians must sign a waiver before participating in class activities. This should be provided as a check box in your checkout process.
o This class has a 3 person minimum. Class may be cancelled if minimum is not met 48 hours prior to class.
o Beehive Craft Studio reserves the right to cancel a class at any time.
If we do so, you'll be issued a full refund.
o Inclement Weather Policy: We reserve the right to cancel class if we deem that weather would make traveling to class dangerous. Every attempt will be made to schedule a makeup for the missed class.

o COVID Policy: We reserve the right to cancel class if we deem that health conditions would make attending class dangerous for teachers and students. Every attempt will be made to schedule a makeup for the missed class.

o Mask Policy: All students are strongly encouraged to wear masks during workshop time if there is a student or teacher requesting masks.

o No refunds for no-shows or cancellations within 48 hours of workshop. Refunds will be processed online within 48 hours of cancellation with the funds going back to your method of payment.
o Everyone works at different speeds and while we expect everyone to finish by the end of the workshop we can't guarantee it!
