Collaborative Camp Cymru is coming to The David Broome Event Centre Chepstow, South Wales! This exciting collaboration brings together the Welsh arms of 3 equestrian organisations - The British Horse Society, British Dressage and RoR (Retraining of Racehorses), to deliver a packed weekend of equestrian activities and lots of fun!
This camp is all about fostering cross-disciplinary learning and mutual support within the equestrian community in Wales! We're highlighting shared interests and goals across different disciplines, and by uniting resources and expertise, this camp provides a unique opportunity for participants to gain broader knowledge and skills, promoting the versatility of horses and riders.
From flat lessons, to jump lessons, from pole lessons to dressage to music and lots more!
Full 2 Day Camp Includes:
• Stabling for Fri & Sat night
• Fully catered on Saturday & Sunday!
• Four riding sessions (2 per day)*
• No stress test riding with assisted warm up (Train & Test)
• Evening dressage to music demo & entertainment on Saturday evening
• Equissage demonstration
• TopSpec weighbridge and advice (Saturday)
• BHS Bridleway & Access Talk & Bitting talk (Days TBC)
*Lesson options include paired or group flat work, jumping, pole work, dressage to music/quadrille.

Day ticket only option includes all the above except overnight stabling (day stabling is included), evening sessions, and full catering (lunch is included).
For 2 day camp, arrival is from 5pm on Friday 20th Sept. This is optional though and you're welcome to arrive on Saturday morning if you prefer - just give yourself enough time to check in and prepare your horse for your first session!
For 2 day camp, all meals are included and catered for the attendee on Saturday 21st and Sunday 22nd. Catering is provided by The Pickled Pumpkin, served in the onsite Pavilion. Please note, meals are not included on Friday 20th, so please bring your own food.
Facilities - Use of arenas and main pavilion (Saturday and Sunday only, due to a separate event being held on the Friday night). Onsite toilets and showers.
Bringing a friend or family member for 2 day camp? Simply book a supporter meal pass which covers full catering for both days.

Units sleep up to 6 people, so why not stay with your friends to make your camp even more cost effective!

TERMS AND CONDITIONS.
Payments and Cancellations
• 100% payment (£308 for 2 day camp or £140 for 1 day camp) is due at the time of booking. This includes a £50 deposit.
• Refunds, less the £50 deposit, or a transfer to an alternative person can be made up to 14 days prior to the event, less any admin fees.
• Cancellations made less than 14 days prior to the event are non-refundable
• Cancellations should be made in writing via email to angela.wetherall@bhs.org.uk
• If there are insufficient numbers to run this event it may be cancelled in which case full refunds will be given, less any admin fees
• As with all holidays it is advisable to get insurance, should you need to cancel.
• The BHS accepts no responsibility for any personal expenses incurred in the event of a cancellation or change.
General
• All entrants must either be a Gold member of The British Horse Society or hold suitable public liability insurance for the duration of the event.
• The BHS cannot accept entries under the age of 18.
• Online entries only
• Please report to the organisers on arrival before unloading your horse/equipment.
• Always follow the instructions of the coaches, stewards, and officials.
• It is your responsibility to ensure emergency contact details are correct and up to date.
• Facilities must be left clean and tidy at the end of camp with stables and tack lockers left empty.
• You are responsible for any damage created by your horse to any facilities whilst on site and will therefore be liable for the cost of replacing/repairing.
• Any equipment left behind will be retained for 2 weeks after camp, after which, if not claimed, it will be disposed of.
• Well behaved dogs are permitted on site, but must be kept under control and on a lead at all times, and never left unattended in vehicles.
• Spectators are permitted to attend during each day to watch the ridden sessions and must follow instructions of the coaches, organisers/officials.
• One person per rider is permitted in the stable area to help you with your horse if needed, however they are not permitted to ride at any time.
• If you are bringing a friend or support with you, simply book a supporter meal pass, if food for the person(s) is required
• Attendees are advised to carry a mobile phone and be aware of the emergency contact numbers for the event.
• The event organiser reserves the right to make changes to the timetable, activities or coaches as required.
• While every effort will be made to create a timetable that meets all members requests, it is not guaranteed you will have a choice of coach or ride with the same group of riders every time.
• Group sizes will depend on lesson requests. Lesson options will be cascaded prior to the event.Riders
• Horse and rider combinations must be able to walk, trot, canter and maintain control of their horse without assistance to attend camp (lead rein is not accepted).
• Coaches/event organisers reserve the right to withdraw horses/riders from activities on ground of safety or welfare without a refund.
• Hats to the current safety standards must always be worn and correctly secured when mounted. Please check yours meets current standards www.bhs.org.uk/go-riding/riding-out-hacking/what-to-wear/hats-and-helmets/
• Body protectors if worn should comply with current standards www.bhs.org.uk/go-riding/riding-out-hacking/what-to-wear/body-protectors/
• All riders must have previous experience of riding the horse they have entered into the event.
• No-one other than the rider listed with the event organiser may ride your horse whilst at camp.
• Please note that the arenas, showground and pavilion are not for use on Friday 20th Sept, due to a separate event being held.
• All riding should be kept to the roadways on site and the arenas throughout the campHorses/Ponies
• Stallions are not permitted at this event.
• All horses must be over the age of 4 years and of appropriate fitness level for the activity being undertaken - any horses who are not sound or fit enough for the activity undertaken will be retired from the activity by decision of the coach or organiser without a refund.
• Welfare & safety is our priority, therefore tack must be suitable, safe and fit correctly, if this is not the case you may not be able to participate by decision of the coach/organiser without a refund.
• All horses/ponies must be in possession of a current up-to-date passport and vaccination certificate, showing it is fully up to date with all vaccinations and that a booster vaccination has been administered in the 6 months prior to arriving, but has not had any vaccination in the 6 days prior to arriving. (Further vaccination guidance can be found by consulting your vet). If you are unable to present this documentation when arriving at the event, you will unfortunately be turned away and will not be eligible for any refund.
• No grass turnout is available at the event. There will however be a designated area for in-hand grazing.Data Protection
• Please be aware that photography or recording may take place at this event. Images/videos will be used by the BHS and BHS Accredited Coaches for general publicity including, but not limited to, websites, British Horse magazine and social media.
