From Big Screen to Dance Floor
Throughout summer, Blank Space is bringing you classes that are inspired by the stories and soundtracks of movies. From blockbusters, rom-coms, biopics, old Hollywood to movie musicals, we've given all instructors free rein to choose a movie, music and dance style they'd love to share with this dance community.
About this Class
We're starting summer with a commercial hip-hop class inspired by the movie Barbie. We're so happy to have Jai back to guest instruct. This class is suitable for beginner/intermediate dancers and you can expect fierce moves with some girl power energy!
About Jai
Known for her upbeat style, motivational coaching, and creativity, Jai is a passionate and dynamic dance instructor with a strong foundation in hip hop and street jazz. A former competitive dancer with The Talent Box Travel Team, Jai honed her craft through years of rigorous training and performance experience.
She is the co-founder of The Peaches dance group and has served as a coach for JFK's high school dance team, Uprising. Jai currently teaches at The Talent Box, where she inspires the next generation of dancers through high-energy classes and innovative choreography.
Level: Beginner, Intermediate
Where is Talent Box?
Talent Box is located on the 2nd floor of the LA Isla Arcade Building, University Dr in Mangilao. It is the same building as Everyday Chinese restaurant. Please park in unmarked bays at the front and side of the building.
When do you arrive?
We recommend arriving 5-10 mins before class starts, so you can sign in and get settled.
What do you wear?
Wear comfortable clothes you can freely move in. Sneakers or flat dance shoes are suitable for this class. Steer away from rocker style sneakers.
What do you bring?
A bottle of water and an open mind.
What level is this class?
This class is suitable for beginner and intermediate dancers. Modifications will be provided when needed.
