⚔️ABOUT THE RAPIER⚔️
The rapier was a civilian dueling weapon of the late-16th through 17th Century Europe. It's long, slender blade and complex hilt made it suitable for thrust-oriented tactics while still allowing some ability to cut and receive blows from heavier weapons. It was wielded in one hand, allowing the second hand to hold a secondary weapon, such as a dagger, or a defensive arms such as a cloak, buckler, or stick.

🤺ABOUT THE CLASS🤺
Classes will include a general warmup, fencing games, block drills, tactical option drills, and more. The goal is to give new fencers a taste of what dueling and sword fighting with the rapier is like.
Our professional coaching staff will also work with fencers to improve their physical literacy and athletic ability while operating within their current physical limitations, including those caused by injury or disability. We believe anyone can have fun and find success in historical and classical fencing and we train our students for long-term health and longevity.
New fencers who complete this crash course can join the Academie at a first month tuition rate of $60. You can learn more about our membership rates on our website.
